Summer lunch program extended

Davis County’s first year with the Summer Food Service Program has proved to be quite successful. Successful enough, in fact, that the program will now be running through August 15.

Originally, the program was slated to end July 31, but program coordinators have decided to extend it based on its popularity.

As of July 17, over 8,000 meals have been served.

Despite the program being extended, some sites will be closing. The meal site in Drakesville and at the Davis County Middle School will both be closed as of Thursday (today). The meal site at the Davis County High School will remain open throughout the duration of the program.
