Hospital board to meet Monday evening

The Davis County Hospital Board will meet Monday at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will begin with the reading of the mission and vision of the facility. The board will hold a closed session to discuss personnel issues. At 6:30 p.m. the board will hear reports from management staff, a departmental pride report, a compliance report and reports from ancillary services and a Critical Access Hospital Report. The board take action on policy reviews, credentials and more.


School board to meet Monday night

The Davis County School Board will meet Monday night at 7 p.m. The agenda calls for a discussion between the school and the Isaac Walton League concerning the development of a trap shooting team. The board will discuss naming the high school track and throwing field. The FFA program will give a presentation on the national convention. The board will consider mid-year graduates, discuss special education weighted enrollment, discuss an employee handbook and consider the approval of an SBRC application for open enrollment. The board will consider purchasing vehicles, consider a corrected snow removal bid and consider a professional services contract from Alloy Specialty for asbestos abatement oversight.

Supervisors to meet Monday

The Davis County Board of Supervisors will meet Monday at 8:30 a.m. The board will conduct its weekly discussion with Custodian Randy Norman and County Engineer Ryan Schock. The board will discuss decorations in the courtyard and the employee Christmas party. They will hear committee reports, and will hold a closed session at 11 a.m. to discuss personnel issues. The board will also meet with Sherifff Dave Davis and Deputy Josh O'Dell and Civil Deputy Renetta Blew in regard to the employee handbook.



Robert Willcoxson

Robert Willcoxson, 80, of Bloomfield, passed away November 15, 2017 at the Bloomfield Care Center.  A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2, at the Bloomfield Christian Church with the Rev. Jack Knox officiating.  Burial of the cremated remains will be at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield at a later date.  Memorials have been established to the Davis County Genealogical Society and the Bloomfield Christian Church.  Wagler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be left at
