<title><![CDATA[Judge Allan L. Goode]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[Judge Allan L. Goode, 69, of Fort Dodge, died on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice House. He was a former Bloomfield resident.<br><br><img src="http://www.bdemo.com/cutenews/data/upimages/Goode.jpg" alt="" align="left" border="0">Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 9, at 10:30 a.m. at 
First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Jeff Martin officiating. 
Private family graveside services will be on Friday at the IOOF Cemetery
 in Bloomfield. <br>
<br>
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home in Fort Dodge.<br>
<br>
Memorials may be left to the First Presbyterian Church Building Fund.<br>

<title><![CDATA[Mustangs beat Centerville, 43-10]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[Davis County scored four touchdowns in the second quarter Friday night to romp over Centerville 43-10 here in a non-district game.<br><br>With Davis County leading 8-3, the Mustang defense stopped a Centerville drive on fourth down at the Davis County 24 as the second quarter was getting underway. On the next play, Zach Fligg ran 76 yards for a touchdown and Brandon Veatch scored the two-point conversion. <br><br>That seemed to break the spirits of the Big Reds as Fligg, Josh Martsching and Jered Kuberski scored additional touchdowns before the half ended for a 36-3 Davis County lead. <br><br>In all Fligg scored three touchdowns as he ran for 174 yards. Martsching gained 110 yards as he scored one touchdown.<br><br>Davis County had 318 yards rushing.<br><br>The win puts Davis County&#8217;s record at 1-1 as they prepare to open the District 6 schedule next week with a game at Mid-Prairie of Wellman.

<title><![CDATA[Mustangs to face Centerville]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[The Mustang football team hosts Centerville Friday night in the annual pennant game. Action begins at 5 p.m. with the freshmen game. The varsity game begins at 7:30 p.m.<br><br>The game is a non-district game on the schedule for both Centerville and Davis County. The two teams come into Friday night&#8217;s game looking for their first win after suffering losses in the opening week of the season. <br><br>The game is also known as the &#8220;Pennant Game,&#8221; between the two South Central Conference schools. Several years ago, pennants were introduced to the game. The winner is allowed to keep the pennant from the other school until the two teams meet again on the football field. <br><br>The Mustangs will be looking to regain possession of the Davis County pennant and take possession of Centerville&#8217;s Pennant following last year&#8217;s loss.&nbsp;

<title><![CDATA[Council discusses animal ordinance]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[The Bloomfield City Council again discussed the animal control ordinance at Thursday night&#8217;s meeting. <br><br>DPW Ted Henderson put the issue back on the agenda, telling the council the city needed to, &#8220;put some teeth in the ordinance.&#8221;<br><br>Council members disagreed with Henderson saying it wouldn&#8217;t do any good to strengthen the ordinance when the city already has problems enforcing the current ordinance. <br><br>Council members did agree to consider changing the penalties for violating the current ordinance. City Clerk Carol Taylor was directed to change the fines and the punishment phase of the ordinance and bring it back to the council. <br><br>In other action, the council approved Cliff Martin&#8217;s re-appointment to the Bloomfield Park Board. The Council discussed a plan of action for correcting problems at the Bloomfield Water Plant, and approved a CDBG Downtown Revitalization Project.&nbsp;
