Comet NEOWISE makes appearance in night skies

Newly-discovered Comet NEOWISE has been visible in the night sky on the northwest horizon over the last several days. On July 22, NEOWISE passed as close to the Earth as it would get. It is now beginning to fade from view. Orbital experts have calculated the comet will not be visible again for 6,800 years. This photo was taken by Bloomfield resident Collyn Ware.
