Kenny Cronin was named the Bloomfield Optimist Club’s April Teen of the Month on April 28.
Cronin is a senior at Davis County High School and has been involved in choir, cross country, track, Drama Club, and National Honor Society. He has also served as the school mascot, Monte the Mustang, for many DCHS events.
His favorite subjects are accounting and business courses.
Outside of school, Cronin is active in the Grace Pointe Church of the Nazarene. Last summer he organized an outdoor Vacation Bible School, one of the few Bible School experiences that was provided in Davis County during the pandemic.
Reflecting on the success of that event, he said, “It was not really my accomplishment, but rather God working through me.”
Cronin is a three-year participant in the Optimist Club’s oratorical contest. In the spring of 2020, he earned a scholarship by placing third in the district contest.
After graduating from DCHS, Cronin plans to attend Luther College in Decorah and major in accounting. While at Luther, he also plans to run cross country and track and sing in the Luther College Choir.
