The Drakesville OSSR Park is seeking the public’s help in securing a $25,000 grant awarded as the result of public voting.
The State Farm Neighborhood Assist is awarding forty $25,000 grants to communities across the United States. The Davis County Old Soldiers and Settlers Reunion Electrical Upgrade Project for the Drakesville City Park has made the cut and is one the final 200 projects eligible for the grants.
Sharon Roland of the Drakesville Betterment Community said, “Our park is an integral part of our community, used by many citizens throughout Davis County as well as other area visitors. Please vote so that we have the opportunity to receive these needed funds that will make this essential upgrade to the park possible.”
The $25,000 grant awards will be awarded to the 40 projects receiving the most votes.
Online voting begins Wednesday, August 14, 2019 and ends Friday, August 23, 2019. Each person may vote up to 10 times per day. You must be 18 and have a valid email address to vote.
