Dr. Jon Logterman recently returned to Clearview Animal Hospital in Bloomfield to practice veterinary medicine.
A 2017 graduate of Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, Logterman practiced in Bloomfield for 1.5 years before moving to Nebraska to be near family.
However, Logterman said everything “seemed to click” when he was in Bloomfield, and after recently marrying Marissa Hamburg, the couple decided to return to Bloomfield.
Logterman is a full-service veterinarian and services dogs, cats, goats, horses, and cattle. “Our services are comprehensive — there’s not a lot we don’t do,” he said in reference to Clearview’s scope of services.
He performs spaying, neutering, and obstetrical procedures as well as issuing preventative meds.
“I grew up around cattle,” he said, “and they hold a special place in my heart.”
He works through the Green Tag Program (a state-approved protocol) for cattle — castrating, dehorning, and administering certain vaccines.
“I’m very glad to be back in Bloomfield and a part of the community again,” he said.
