Lori King Productions and the Drakesville Betterment Committee, with assistance from C1st Credit Union and area businesses, are teaming up to host a music festival and camping weekend at the Drakesville City Park April 30 through May 1.
Music will begin with an open stage beginning at 7 pm. Thursday, April 30. Stage shows are also scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday,1-5 p.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Saturday.
King said her band — Junction 63 — and the Bluegrass Blondies will be performing as well as many more bands. “There are no hired bands,” she said.
Bands and musicians will sign up for time slots throughout the festival. There will also be jam sessions during the week prior to and in addition to the stage performances.
“This is a family-friendly event,” King said. “Bring your lawn chair and your appetite for great food, music, and fun!”
Camping with limited electricity is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
There is no admission for the festival, but donations will be accepted.
