Reflexology is the process of using one’s hands to work out problems in the body through someone’s face, hands and feet. It has been around for years, with many different businesses starting to dive into this portion of healthcare.
Renita Murrell is no stranger to this. She recently started up her own business in Bloomfield called Reflexology by Renita.
Murrell is no stranger to healthcare and this field of work after working as a nurse’s aid, medication aid and home health aid for several years.
She started this journey into reflexology three years ago, the same time she started working at Essential Massage. Along with working, Murrell was also taking reflexology courses, which would get her into the American Reflexology Certification Board class, a nationally ranked program.
Now with getting into the ARCB class, she will be able to get her certification for these courses and improve her skills in reflexology.
Reflexology by Renita is currently located across from CMTEL, with her current hours being Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. She also has the flexibility to work on other days and schedule appointments for her clients as necessary.
Murrell’s main goal with getting into reflexology and becoming her own boss is to explore more about health, a subject she has always found interesting, and find out more about how reflexology can better help our bodies.
