The Davis County Country & Old Time Music Festival is a time for good music, relaxation, fellowship, and good cooking.

Several Davis County restaurants have advertised breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu items in this special Music Festival section that will allow festival guests to enjoy fine Davis County cooking.

See ads for Ray’s Longbranch in Drakesville, Go Gourmet, Subway, and CJ’s Restaurant in Bloomfield for a wide variety of menu items to please your palette.

In addition, the Davis County Fair Board, with the help of many volunteers from local organizations, will be preparing and serving homemade meals and concessions throughout the week beginning with Tuesday morning’s breakfast.

 Breakfast will be served in the grandstand building from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday; lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday; and dinner from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.

Tentative menus for the week include:

Tuesday: Breakfast — biscuits and gravy, cinnamon roll.

Wednesday: Breakfast — biscuits and gravy, breakfast sandwich, cinnamon roll; Lunch — ham and beans, cornbread, maid rite or cheese rite, super nachos, chili; dinner — meatloaf with cheesy potatoes, corn, breadstick; hot dog; chilidog; chili.

Thursday: Breakfast — pancakes (strawberries and whip cream available too), eggs, sausage patty; lunch — mac and cheese bowl with pulled pork; pulled pork sandwich; chili; sides; dinner — Mike Wilson Memorial Fish Fry with choice of two sides, dessert.

Friday: Breakfast — casserole, cinnamon roll; lunch — walking taco, sloppy joes, super nachos, sides, soup; dinner — chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes and green beans, maid rite or cheese rite, soup.

Saturday: Breakfast — biscuits and gravy, breakfast sandwich, cinnamon rolls if available; lunch — hot beef sundae, hot dog, sides (if available), soup; dinner — grilled pork chops, baked potato, and cole slaw, cook’s choice sandwich and soup, sides (if available).

Pepsi products, tea, lemonade and water, milk hot chocolate, coffee, and hot tea will be available at all meals.

Beginning Wednesday, the new ice cream stand will be open noon to 10 p.m. for pie, ice cream with toppings, Pepsi products, candy bars, chips, and coffee.
