Mae Huffman, 96, of Bloomfield passed away on June 19, 2020 at the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis, Mo. She was born May 10, 1924 in Davis County to Ira Marion and Myrtle Leona Stoughten Campbell and was raised by her aunt and uncle, Louie and Ella Campbell Lamb. Mae graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1942. After graduation, she attended the American Institute of Business in Des Moines and graduated from the Executive Secretarial Program in 1944. On July 22, 1945, she married Robert “Bob” Huffman in Bloomfield. Bob passed away on December 23, 2012.

Mae worked for the U.S. government as a loan officer with FHA in Davis County, and Weld County, Colo.; retiring in 1980. Mae and Bob spent their retirement years in Iowa and Colorado. They enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, and eating out.

She is survived by nieces and nephews; very close friend, Helen Ernst of Bloomfield; and two sisters-in-law, Alice Huffman and Sandra Christy, both of Bloomfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; aunt and uncle; husband; three sisters, Lena Burger, Lila Welshons, Iva Nelson; and four brothers, Robert, Orville, Ira Marion Jr., and William “Bill.”

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield with Rev. Leslie Dotson officiating. No visitation is planned. Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be directed to www.waglerfuneralhome.com.
