Myles enjoyed cooking and canning. Salsa was his specialty and he always shared it with family and friends. After graduating from high school, he attended Indian Hills Community College Culinary School.
Myles drove a race car for several years at local dirt tracks. He had the pleasure of driving a NASCAR at a Richard Petty driving experience. Rusty Wallace was another favorite NASCAR driver, he received a signed photograph and a personal letter from him during his hospital stay as a young boy.
Myles enjoyed outdoor activities including hunting and fishing. He went on several successful hunts for buffalo and elk in Colorado. He was also a certified scuba diver.
Myles owned McClure Transport and enjoyed working.
He is survived by his parents, Michael McClure and Teri McClure both of Bloomfield; daughter, Kallie of Centerville, Iowa; grandmother, Shirley Porter of Troy, Iowa; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Murl and Pat McClure; grandfather, Gary Porter; and an uncle, Cary Porter.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 26, 2022 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Donna Olinger officiating. Burial will be at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will begin at noon on Sunday with the family present to greet friends from 2-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
