Images of the past: Going places, about 1914

At the beginning of the 20th century, railroads had stretched their supremacy across the continent, reaching into the smallest of towns and villages and dominating American commerce.

All of this is interesting, but really, who doesn’t like a good photo of the arrival of the train at the Wabash depot on the west side of Bloomfield around 1914? The depot was located on Railroad Street between Walnut and Chestnut Streets.
