Noah Hamm

Noah Hamm brings his fareway wood down to strike this ball during a shot in last week's meet at Honey Creek. Hamm hit a hole-in-one on the par three 17th hole on the course during the tournament. The hole-in-one helped Hamm finish with a score of 47 on the back nine.

The Mustang golf team took part in the Moravia Invitational Golf Tournament on April 29. The tournament was played at Honey Creek Preserve located west of Moravia.

The tournament included teams from Pella, Des Moines Christian, Pleasantville, Mount Pleasant, Moravia, Chariton, Centerville, Oskaloosa, Albia, Fairfield, Nevada, East Union and Wayne.

The highlight of the tournament for Davis County was Noah Hamm’s success on the back nine. Hamm shot a 47 on the back nine. His score was helped along after he hit a hole-in-one on the par three 17th hole of the course. Hamm also shot a 46 on the front nine allowing him to finish the tournament with a 93.

Easton White continues to lead the Mustangs and did so with an 83 during this 18-hole tournament. He shot a 42 on the front nine and finished with a 41 on the back nine.

Jack Bigsby worked his way into the varsity scoring during this tournament. Bigsby finished with a 98 after shooting rounds of 48 and 51. Lane Johnson shot a 101 with rounds of 49 and 52. Spencer Boas shot a 103 after rounds of 55 and 48.
