The Lady Mustang track team is off to a strong start this season after winning both the PCM meet and the Dewitt Girls Invitational in Clarke on April 1. Davis County scored 140 points and had a 48-point advantage over second-place Clarke in the team standings when the meet was over.

Davis County won the meet by doubling up and scoring in the individual events. The Lady Mustangs also scored victories in the 4x100, 4x200, and 4x400 to help secure the team win.

Jersey Greever and Mayci White both scored in the 100 meters. Greever finished third with a time of 14.14. White finished sixth with a time of 14.72. Cadan VanLaningham won the 200 meters with a time of 27.37. Chloe Fetcho finished fifth in the same race with a time of 30.52. Fetcho finished second overall in the 400 meters with a time of 1:08.31. Charley Barnhart finished third with a time of 1:08.43.

Addison Stuchel finished second in the 800 meters with a time of 2:49.21. Tatum Turner and Barnhart both scored in the 1500 meters. Turner finished second with a time of 5:41.50. Barnhart finished third with a time of 5:37.20.

Makayla Bachman and Karston Nebel both placed in the 3000. Bachman finished third overall with a time of 12:23.35. Nebel finished fifth with a time of 13:14.62.

Stephyn Wilfawn placed in both the 100-meter hurdles and the 400-meter hurdles. She clocked a time of 18.62 in the 100-meter race. Her time was not available for the 400-meter race.

White, Sydney Utt, Kate Knobloch, and Greever teamed up to win the 4x100-meter relay. They finished in 54.66. Greever, Kaylea Hopkins, VanLaningham and Briley Lough won the 4x200-meter relay with a time of 1:55.85.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Clara Smith, Hopkins, Macy Hill and Lough won the championship with a time of 4:37.44. Davis County finished second in the 4x800-meter relay with a time of 11:16.60. Running for Davis County were Stuchel, Reese Humphrey, Barnhart and Turner.

Sydney Utt, Alyson Bennett, Smith and Hill teamed up to finish second in the distance medley relay. They finished with a time of 4:48.80. The sprint medley relay team of Greever, VanLaningham, Kallie Greiner and Hopkins finished fourth with a time of 2:08.38.

Hill finished sixth in the shot put with a toss of 28-11. She finished third in the discus with a toss of 94-6. Chelsea Prevo finished fourth in the discus with a toss of 94-3.

Greiner and Utt both placed in the long jump as well. Greiner was second with a jump of 16-7. Utt finished fifth overall with a jump of 15-0 ¾.
