Bailea Yahnke and Sophia Young were honored late last month with selection oto the South Central Conference All-Conference Softball Team. Both Yahnke and Young were selected to the team as outfielders.

Yahnke was a senior on the team this season. She finished the year with a .423 batting average. She had 30 hits in 71 at-bats. She scored 18 runs, had six doubles and 13 runs batted in. She struck out just four times and walked seven times this season. She also stole three bases in three attempts, had an on-base percentage of .481 and a slugging percentage of .507. She finished the season defensively with 41 putouts and 6 assists in 23 games played.

 Young played as an eight grader this year. She finished the season with a fielding percentage of .939. She had 27 putouts and four assists in 29 games. She committed just two errors. Offensively, young finished the season with a .311 batting average and a slugging percentage of .447. Her on-base percentage was .330. Young scored 22 runs and had 32 hits in 103 at-bats in 29 games. She finished with seven doubles; two triples one home run and had 12 RBIs. She struck out 13 times, walked twice and was 12 of 15 stealing bases for the Lady Mustangs.

Seniors Shelby Motykowski and Ashton Madden were both named as honorable mention selections to the team this season. The following is a complete listing of the first and second teams that were selected by a vote of the South Central Conference softball coaches in July.
